In 2011, a single YouTube video reshaped their trajectory. Bill posted a tutorial on technology from a recent project, which caught the attention of Stanford University’s Director of Digital Learning Spaces. After a late-night comment led to a conversation, Stanford expressed interest in technology design—a service Synergy didn’t yet offer. But when Stanford’s director urged them to create a design firm, promising to be their first client, Greg and Bill seized the opportunity. BrightTree Studios was born.
