Senior Crestron Programmer

BrightTree Studios is a Pittsburgh-based technology design studio. BrightTree Studios is looking for a senior Crestron programmer to support our growing client base – a talented individual who is committed to excellence, thrives in an environment of collaboration, and demonstrates a high degree of enthusiasm. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with great communication skills and the ability to work on a team with others to accomplish our clients’ goals. 


  • Crestron control system programming to meet design criteria and client expectations
  • Graphical User Interface (GUI) design to meet design criteria and client expectations
  • Uploading Crestron code to touchpanels and control processors onsite, in-office, and remotely
  • Testing, troubleshooting, and debugging Crestron code written by you or other programmers
  • Understanding commercial audiovisual technology capabilities and programming protocols
  • Reading system flow diagrams and commenting when necessary
  • Archiving editable programmers in company’s data storage system
  • Creating client manuals on system operation
  • Other duties assigned as needed

Experience and Qualifications

  • Crestron Certified Programmer – silver or higher preferred
  • Experience programming complex Crestron systems such as triple-divided spaces, video over IP, and
    centralized AV systems
  • Crestron Fusion experience
  • Ability to create professional-looking custom graphics in a graphics software of your choice
  • In-depth knowledge of networking, specifically IP Addressing, VLANs, firewalls, routers, VPNs, and
  • Knowledge of C#, .NET, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML a plus
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
  • Motivation, independent thinking
  • Understanding of normal business and office procedures

Prerequisites – applicant must:

  • Complete Intermediate Training Course (CTI-P201) with a desire to achieve Crestron
  • Have 5+ years of Crestron programming experience in a commercial environment
  • Have a valid driver’s license and own a vehicle to travel to jobsites
  • Live or relocate to the Pittsburgh, Pa., area
