UPMC Bakery Square 2.0
New Office Space

UPMC enlisted BrightTree Studios and Synergy Media Group to design and install the technology in their new office space in Pittsburgh’s Bakery Square.

In the office lobby, a 60” LCD display is mounted on the wall with a digital signage player, allowing UPMC to display branded content for employees and guests to enjoy.

Further inside are three conference rooms and a large training room, as well as open office space for collaboration and productivity.

Both the audio conferencing and video conferencing rooms incorporate an HDMI laptop input as well as wireless sharing technology for easy content sharing. They feature audio conferencing phones with Bluetooth for transferring cell phone calls to the rooms’ audio systems, which consist of multiple ceiling speakers, positioned to evenly distribute audio throughout their respective spaces.

The video conferencing rooms are commanded by custom, user-friendly touch panels. With the press of a single button, the large display will turn on, the connected laptop’s content will be shown on the TV, and the audio will ramp to appropriate preset levels. The same touch panel also allows users to change the source for the display, adjust volume levels, dial conference calls, and shut down all equipment. USB web cameras sit above the displays for Skype, WebEx, Google Video, and other video calls.

The large training room is divisible and contains a laser projector for large group presentations. A hardwired HDMI laptop input and wireless sharing technology allow for content projection. Audio streams from eight ceiling speakers that fill the space for a clean, even, seamless audio experience. A wall touch panel controls the projector, the projection screen, volume levels, and content sourcing. The system also features a wireless lavalier microphone for more impactful audio presentations.
