Glasshouse Development
Station Square

Glasshouse, a new mixed-use development on Pittsburgh’s South Shore, will pay tribute to the city’s history of glass production while connecting residents to the area’s riverfront trails and other amenities.

BrightTree Studios is providing audiovisual, IT/telecommunications, and security designs for the new construction, which broke ground in late 2018 and is set to be completed in 2019.

The mixed-use/residential development features multiple amenities, like open-style shared recreation areas, meeting rooms of varied sizes, conference areas, a lounge, a fitness/yoga/spin area, an outdoor cinema and swimming pool.

The recreation areas will accommodate a variety of uses with two 70-inch displays in the common area and three 55-inch displays in the kitchen, all of which support comfortable viewing without overpowering the space. The TVs accommodate broadcast content and also allow users to stream content from their personal phones, tablets, and laptops. Management also has access to all displays for broadcasting messages, news, and ads.

While one meeting room (designed as a hangout room) features a 75-inch display for content sharing, entertainment, and other media, the other (designed as a standard office meeting room), fully equipped for video/audio conferencing and wireless content sharing.

The conference and other areas in the leasing lobby and lounge feature three displays – one 65-inch LED and two 46-inch displays, all attached to adjustable wall mounts, and complete with a full audio system and control system, as well as the appropriate network equipment.

The fitness/yoga/spin areas boast three 75-inch full HD LCD displays connected to network streaming players and HDMI input. Ceiling and wall-mounted speakers throughout the space deliver a seamless audio experience.

Outside, the cinema and swimming pool share a 10,000-lumen laser projector, with a powerful, all-weather sound system that provides clean audio to every corner of the space. The audiovisual components are supported and commanded by user-friendly video and control systems.

The project is set for completion in mid-2019.
