Pressley Ridge’s all new School for the Deaf is part of their plan to offer accessible education to children of every background. This new building services both deaf and autistic children, featuring classrooms that are formatted for optimized learning for both parties.
All classrooms within the building will feature a SMART Interactive Display which will allow for highly interactive learning and communication. In addition to standard classrooms, the new school is home to an Exercise room as well as Culinary space for extended learning.
The building was also equipped with a brand new access control systems, with card access readers at all entrances and several learning spaces. A video surveillance system was also installed, with cameras placed in all high traffic areas.
An additional layer of accessible security is added with a visual emergency alert system. To accommodate for the school’s population, all alerts will pop up on SMART Displays within the classroom.
