The Watt Center provides the campus with an extraordinary Innovation hub spanning 70,000GSF. Through the Watt Family Innovation Center, Clemson University commits itself to providing an industry-leading educational experience by utilizing cutting-edge, collaborative, and interactive technology.

A lobby with 4 massive interactive video walls greets students and guests, immediately immersing them in the technology the Center offers. The building boasts an auditorium with two 4K, 3D stereoscopic projectors with surround sound and a 30-foot interactive video wall. The auditorium will serve as space for larger presentations and campus events, enriching the experiences of the University’s community. The Center provides a series of technology systems that encourage the creation, consumption, and sharing of multimedia content in exciting ways. The center’s exterior features one of the largest media mesh grids in the country.

All AV systems are monitored from a command-and-control center in the building. A bleeding-edge boardroom, cyber fusion labs, a dedicated makerspace, and a museum-style touch-screen video wall further amplify the Center’s technological capabilities. The GIS room features immersive technology allowing students to fly through a variety of terrains. Active learning classrooms have monitors built into tables for collaboration among students and professors.
