BrightTree Studios is looking for a BIM Technician to support our growing client base. We are seeking a talented individual who is committed to excellence, who thrives in an environment of collaboration, and who demonstrates a high degree of enthusiasm. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with great communication skills and the ability to work on a team with others to accomplish our client’s goals. The candidate will have the ability to work independently with instructions from the BIM manager, design team, and management team. 

The BIM Technician reports to the BIM Manager and Design Principals. The BIM Technician helps to implement the Building Information Modeling services, including research, standards development, training, and support. This position will also support Technology Designers and Project Managers in delivering systems design and construction documents. 

Responsibilities 

-Set up new CAD and Revit project files and maintain file structure for projects 

-Work with project managers, design staff, and installation staff to prepare drawing documentation 

-Work in Revit on 3D projects; including maintaining multiple models, creating views and sheets, accurately placing families and renderings 

-Convert redlined drawings into document-ready work 

-Prepare models for document submission deliverables 

-Maintain drawing revisions 

-Produce drawings to company standard while providing suggestions for improvement where applicable 

-Works with the BIM Manager to implement BIM Standards. 

-Works with Technology Designer on training on the latest company standards 

-Work with architectural firms on the coordination of technology devices within the BIM model 

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

-Associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting 

-Strong working knowledge of both AutoCAD 2021 and Revit 2021 and higher 

-Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 

-Working knowledge of Bluebeam Revu and/or Adobe Acrobat 

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

-Be able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment 

-Excellent time management skills, to be able to handle multiple projects 

-Attention to detail
