
Renovations to the existing Warrington Recreation Center aim to help centralize community activities and give children a safe place to play and gather. Totaling 126,000GSF, the new facility helps reach the City’s goal of serving the Warrington community through various new spaces.
The building includes classrooms, a dance studio, a multipurpose gymnasium, an outdoor patio, and much more. The surrounding site will give community members access to a variety of spaces including a basketball court, a spray park, and a field that can be used for a variety of activities. The gymnasium houses a fitness room and multiple weight rooms, so users can participate in a wide range of physical activity.
The City of Pittsburgh focuses heavily on community, providing inclusive, flourishing resources to reinvigorate local neighborhoods. The renovation was designed with these goals at the forefront, and the new Warrington Recreation Center will help to carry them out.
